Bluebells & Birch, Loch a' Mhuillin
An image from the mixed deciduous woodland by Loch a' Mhuillin, near Scourie in the far north-west of Scotland.
My eye was caught by this young birch tree which was growing almost horizontally out of the shaded slope towards the brighter foreground ferns. The late-spring bluebells provided an extra splash of colour.
