An image from the restored woodland at Coille na Glas Leitir, in the Beinn Eighe National Nature Reserve.
I was attracted to this particular spot by the foreground bracken, but also by the birch tree with its bright yellow leaves and ‘exploding’ branches; the form of both the tree and the bracken made me think of fireworks.
