Soft evening light at Achnahaird Bay in Wester Ross.
The earlier heavy showers had died out, and the beach was bathed in golden light for much of the evening while the skies over Inverpolly remained in a continual state of flux. To the north and south it seemed to be raining for most of the time; Achnahaird alone was clear. Earlier in the day I had walked the full length of the bay, seen dunlin and lapwing on the machair and watched gannets hunting in Enard Bay.
