On a day of intermittent rainshowers, the weather cleared during the descent of Caisteal Abhail, a 859-metre-high summit on the Isle of Arran, revealing this view towards Goat Fell (centre), the highest peak on the island. To the left of it is the subsidiary summit of North Goat Fell, from which an interconnecting ridge drops to the mountain pass known as The Saddle, before rising to the dramatic peak of Cìr Mhòr.
