Glacial Erratics, Corrie #2
Glacial Erratics, Corrie #2

During the last ice age these three erratic boulders must have been carried down by a glacier from the granite highlands to the west, to rest on the Permian sandstone foreshore near the modern settlement of Corrie on the north-eastern coastline of the Isle of Arran. Additional interest is presented by the brightly-coloured seaweed, the tones of which were especially vivid on this dull autumn day.
