Sand Patterns
Achnahaird Sand Patterns #1
A detail of the sand patterns on the beach at Achnahaird in Coigach. This beach features white shell sand as well as darker reddish sand of mineral origin. In places these combine with black sand (the origin of which is unclear to me) to form beautiful abstract patterns. These ones reminded me of aerial photographs of mountain ranges.
